Garden Inspired Sunroom
When I started pulling together pieces to decorate our sunroom for spring, I was feeling some spring gardening vibes as I watched the snow continue to fall outside… I was anxious for spring to come, for plants and trees to come back to life, and for everything outside to explode with green instead of white. I wanted to bring that springy feeling into our favorite indoor space, even if the Michigan weather wasn’t showing many signs of spring yet.
We ordered some gorgeous green toile pillows and a beautiful olive throw blanket for the shop for spring, and I couldn’t resist bringing some home to go with the garden vibe I was going for. They paired beautifully with our everyday whites and creams in the chenille bedspread and large daybed pillows.
I stacked these old ammo boxes for our coffee table and it provided a perfect space for a little decor or a stack of books and a mug of tea.
Sometime around February/March we start many of our garden plants from seeds and the sunroom is the perfect spot to do this. With the long hallway-like entrance into the sunroom and the full wall of windows, we have great space to setup a table for our seedlings to grow. I like to consider it functional décor. 😉
We also keep most of our indoor plants in the sunroom.
I feel so inspired in this space… between the beautiful whites and creams and the incredible views that wrap around the front and side yards, it’s by far my favorite room in the house. I don’t get to spend nearly enough time in here, but it is the perfect spot to cozy up with a book, take a nap, or even just enjoy the scenery.
This little vignette is made up of a mix of new and vintage items from the shop and vintage treasures from family members and I absolutely love every piece. I continued the garden theme here, and my everyday vintage wall art tied in perfectly with the color scheme and theme.
I hope you enjoyed our little garden-inspired sunroom tour. I look forward to spring and summer and seeing all the outside things pop with green and flowers and I so look forward to the warmth and sunshine! I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy during this pandemic and I pray that you’re finding ways to see the beauty in the everyday and be inspired.
Glad to see your pretty sunroom. We added a sweet cottage room (sunroom), and it is our favorite, too. I am happy to see your posts and bet that you are anxious to open your shop again!
