Shop Local in Cadillac This Christmas
In the spirit of Christmas and shopping and supporting local, we are making it a priority to shop local as much as possible this Christmas season. It means the world to us when you shop with us, and we know how important shopping small is to our local economy. Through Christmas Eve, we will be featuring a local business in Cadillac along with some of our purchases and/or favorite items that they offer. 
So often, we get customers who didn’t know how many great businesses Cadillac has to offer, so we want to highlight just a few in the next few weeks to help inspire everyone to shop local this Christmas season! Whatever you’re shopping for, Cadillac offers a wide variety of local small businesses with a great selection of items in several categories, and has lots of great local spots for food and drinks while you’re out shopping as well. 
This is so important, at Christmas time and all year around! When you shop small and local, you get a level of customer service and an experience that big box and chain stores don’t offer, you keep the money in your local community, and you’re supporting your neighbors and members in your own community. Horizon Books of Cadillac
Our first stop today is a spot we frequent weekly and is a whole family favorite, Horizon Books-Cadillac! We often grab lattes at Horizon Books, magazines, and books for the whole family. They have a great selection of books, gifts, and more for everyone on your Christmas list. Grab a tea or coffee while you’re there and enjoy it by the fire. And all the ladies who work at Horizon are so sweet and helpful. Make sure to add Horizon Books in Downtown Cadillac to your list of stops this December. 
The Sweet Shop
Who doesn’t love The Sweet Shop!?!? A long time local favorite, The Sweet Shop has a variety of wonderful and delicious gift options to choose from, and you’ll always find the best and sweetest people working there to help you find what you’re looking for. They have several candy and treat options, gifts, and so much delicious chocolate!! I often joke that it’s a dangerous place to work next to 
and our kids ask to go there at least 25 times a week. 
It’s a real downtown treasure! Make sure The Sweet Shop is on your list of stops this Christmas season!
Brinks Custom Framing
When you come to downtown Cadillac, Brinks Custom Framing is a must stop! Whether you have a special piece or collection that needs custom framing, you’re looking for a unique piece of art, or are in need of art supplies, Brinks has it all. You won’t find a nicer guy than owner Gregg, as he is always there to help with whatever you need and he’s a kind and giving neighbor and community supporter. If you’re looking for a unique, quality, and special gift, Brinks is the place to go!
Toy Town of Cadillac
With a huge selection of toys and crafts, this downtown stop is for the kiddos on your Christmas list, but they also have a variety of items for anyone on your Christmas list, like a large assortment of games and more. Toy Town of Cadillac is another local favorite, offering customized service with a special toy store experience that you cant find in the big box stores. Owners, Thaddaeus and Cari, are great members and supporters of our local community and are always great at supporting local as well. While they’re based in Downtown Cadillac, they also have a location in Reed City if that’s a little closer for you. Make sure to add Toy Town to your Christmas shopping stops!!
Roasted Cafe
Downtown Cadillac is blessed with some really great restaurants, coffee shops, etc. to check out while your checking off your Christmas list in Downtown Cadillac. One of these amazing coffee shops, Roasted Cafe Cadillac , is also a great restaurant serving delicious breakfast and lunch dishes, baked goods, specialty coffee drinks, and other beverages. We always find a smiling face at Roasted and everything we’ve tried there has been delicious! Make sure to head downtown and grab a coffee and breakfast or lunch at Roasted while exploring our beautiful downtown!
Emmi’s Closet
Whether you’re shopping for yourself or for someone else, Emmi’s Closet is full of beautiful treasures and lots of fun!! I stopped in today to pick out a couple items and a few shoppers were having the best time trying on clothes and chatting with the Emmi’s Closet team! They’re the nicest group of ladies and they are very engaged with their customers, offering personalized customer service. If you’re looking for women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, formal wear, and more, you should definitely stop in to Emmi’s Closet!!
Serendipity
Whether you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone else, Serendipity has tons of options for you! Looking for fun stocking stuffers? A cute outfit for Christmas or New Years? I’m a firm believer that you can find something for everyone in Downtown Cadillac, and The Cozy Company is another great shop to find lots of options for the men, women, kids, and even pets on your Christmas list! The Cozy Company offers a variety of rustic home furnishings and decor, perfect for your up north home, fun Michigan themed apparel, shoes and accessories, and so many other gift options! It’s another beautiful shop owned and operated by members of our own community. Owner, Kasey, has jumped right in with contributing to our downtown planning and events since opening in May, and their shop is a great addition to our amazing and beautiful downtown! Chunky Bear Coffee Roasters
Is there a more perfect gift than coffee?! 
Personally, I think not! Which is why we feel extra blessed to have such amazing coffee options in Downtown Cadillac! If you’re a coffee drinker and you haven’t tried Chunky Bear Coffee Roasters yet, you’re missing out! Talk about a delicious cup of locally roasted coffee! And it’s owned by the nicest people and members of our local community! You can currently find Chunky Bear coffee and merchandise at Mäksē Boutique – Makse, Willow Market & Meats, and Cadillac Apple Valley Natural Foods. Have you been into the newly renovated Owl Eye Coffee Roasters yet? It is stunning! It’s modern and beautiful and so welcoming and the owners are so kind! You should definitely stop in to check out the renovation, but more importantly to try their delicious coffee and other drinks! You can grab a coffee for you and some great gifts for loved ones, too!
